(Spirit Lake)—A physician who once practiced in the Iowa Great Lakes has announced he’s returning. Officials with Avera McKennan Hospital and University Health Center and Lakes Regional Healthcare say Dr. Steven Baskerville, MD, will return to practice at Avera Medical Group Lakes Family Practice beginning June 1st.
Dr. Baskerville left Avera Medical Group Lakes Family Practice in October 2011 to become medical director of Veterans Administration clinics in St. James and Mankato, but continued to live in Spirit Lake.
Dr. Baskerville received his medical degree from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine in 1990 and is board certified with the American Board of Family Medicine and is a member of the Christian Medical and Dental Associations.
Baskerville and his wife Sandy also own and operate Spenser’s Underground, a youth organization in Spirit Lake.
