(Linn Grove)—The owner of a northwest Iowa bar is facing drug charges.
The Buena Vista County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy was conducting a bar check Monday at Bobby’s Sand Bar in Linn Grove when he observed two people allegedly using a controlled substance.
The owner of the bar, 60-year-old Robert Wiese, and 59-year-old Debra Chapman…both of Greenville…were detained. The deputy found what’s alleged to be controlled substances on both suspects.
Wiese was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Chapman was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
The Buena Vista County Sheriff’s Office says the case is still under investigation.
