(Fairmont, Mn.)– A baby boom is going on at a southern Minnesota hospital.
Officials with Fairmont Medical Center, part of Mayo Health System, say in the first six days of February, there were 16 births there, with seven of those coming in a 24-hour period.
There were just 24 births at the facility in all of January.
Mothers of the babies came from Fairmont, Jackson and Welcome, Minnesota and Armstrong, Estherville, Lakota and Swea City, Iowa.
