(Algona)– Algona authorities will not file charges after a gun was reported at Bishop Garrigan Catholic School.
Investigators received the report on October 7th after someone reportedly found a firearm on top of the bed cover of a pickup truck. Police say the gun was inadvertently left on top of the vehicle when the owner was transferring belongings from one vehicle to another earlier that day. However, Bishop Garrigan school leaders will continue reviewing the incident involving one of its staff members.
The school says no student had contact with the gun and no one was hurt.
