(Cherokee)– Authorities have identified the body recovered from a northwest Iowa pond back on March 2.
The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office says the body of Michael Halder, 66, was recovered from a pond south of the town of Cherokee.
The sheriff’s office says they received a report of a missing ice fisherman at a rural farm pond at about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. A little less than an hour later, Halder was recovered from the water. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
