***UPDATE TO PREVIOUS STORY***
(Pomeroy)– We’re learning additional details into a shooting earlier today (Tues.) in Pomeroy, in Calhoun county.
The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation says preliminary reports indicate there had been an altercation this (Tues.) morning in an apartment that escalated into an exchange of gunfire involving multiple individuals. The agency says two of the people involved are hospitalized with gunshot wounds. Their conditions are unknown.
The DCI says all individuals believed to have been involved in the altercation have been identified and are accounted for. They add the investigation is ongoing and that no further suspects are being sought at this time. They add law enforcement believes the incident was isolated and that there is no ongoing threat to public safety.
Sioux City television station KTIV is reporting two people have been taken into custody.
The Calhoun County Attorney’s Office, Iowa State Patrol, Manson Police Department and the Fort Dodge Police Department are assisting the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office in the investigation.

(Pomeroy)– Multiple agencies have responded to the scene of a shooting in Pomeroy.
A spokesman with the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation says it happened this (Tues.) morning, but details, including whether or not there have been any injuries or deaths, are unavailable. It’s also unknown if any arrests have been made.
They did confirm that DCI agents and members of the Iowa State Patrol were sent to Pomeroy to assist local law enforcement.
