(Jackson, Mn.)– An ATV crash this last Friday just north of the Iowa/Minnesota border north of Little Spirit Lake sent one person to the hospital.
Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the crash around 11:30 am at the intersection of 460th Ave. and 730th St. Deputies say 22-year-old Ashley Weringa of Lakefield was operating a 2022 Polaris Ranger. They say 26-year-old Zachary Kempema, age 26 of Worthington was one of two passengers when the ATV entered the ditch and rolled. Kempema was transported by the Jackson Ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake with possible injuries. Weringa and the other passenger were uninjured.
The Jackson Fire Department and Lakefield Police Department also assisted at the scene.
