(Jackson, Mn.)– The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is calling the public’s attention to what may have been an attempted abduction of a child.
Authorities say they received a report from an 11-year-old old stating that a white man with a beard wearing sunglasses asked the juvenile to get into a vehicle in the area of Butler Avenue and North Highway in Jackson. The juvenile said no, and the man sped off in what’s described as an older red SUV. The area was canvassed but neither the suspect or vehicle could be located.
Officials say while it may have been a case of mistaken identity, they still want the public to be aware. Anyone with information is being asked to contact the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office at 507-847-4420.
