(Rock Rapids)– Two suspects are in custody for burglarizing the Lyon County Courthouse last week. They were arrested on Saturday in Spearfish, South Dakota.
Police say Luciano Eliseo Sanchez and Brandon Lyle High Pipe broke into the courthouse, smashed windows and caused significant damage throughout the building overnight between December 16th and 17th. They face charges of
third-degree burglary, first-degree criminal mischief, willful disturbance, conspiracy to commit a non-forcible felony, and reckless use of fire, explosives, or a destructive device.
The courthouse has been closed ever since and is expected to reopen on Tuesday.
A nationwide manhunt for the two suspects was issued on Thursday.
