(Arnolds Park)– Construction is about to get underway on a new maintenance building for the city of Arnolds Park.
City Administrator Ron Walker says the city council Monday awarded the low bid on the project of 941,900-dollars to A & S Services of Orange City. The bid came in below the original estimate of slightly more than a million dollars.
Walker says they plan to start construction yet in early October with completion slated for this coming July 1st.
The 14,000 square foot building will house the city’s maintenance equipment, a water testing room, some offices and a conference room.
The facility will be constructed on the east edge of Arnolds Park…on the east side of 240th Avenue just east of Pelican Ridge.
