(Arnolds Park)– The city of Arnolds Park is scrapping a plan that would have prohibited parking along a portion of West Broadway near the city parking lot for a couple of hours on Friday and Saturday evenings during the summer. The city had floated the idea as part of a proposal to establish that area as a drop-off and pick up zone for ubers and taxis.
The council decided Wednesday evening to drop that after hearing from Police Chief Al Krueger. Instead, they’re considering a proposal to make Allen Avenue a one-way street to help alleviate traffic concerns in that same area. A public hearing on that proposal will be held in March.
