(Arnolds Park)– Lake Street through the Arnolds Park Amusement Park will be open more to vehicle traffic this upcoming summer. Meeting in special session Tuesday, the city council reviewed plans to have the street open all day both Mondays and Tuesdays during the season. On other days, the street will be closed to all traffic, including golf carts, and will reopen for the night when the park closes.
Several council members indicated Tuesday they had received complaints over the street not being open more to traffic this past summer. John Pausley, CEO of the Arnolds Park Amusement Park, told the council he was pleased with how things worked last year, especially with the ballards.
Pausley added they will be adding a handicap drop-off this coming summer behind the stage, near Maxwell’s.
