(Arnolds Park)– The Arnolds Park City Council Wednesday set the wheels in motion to annex some land for a new residential development just east of the Emerald Hills Golf Course.
As we’ve reported previously, a 97 unit development known as Emerald Estates is being planned for that area. The site is currently in the county but is surrounded by the city of Arnolds Park. The developer is requesting voluntary annexation into the city in order to get water and sewer to the site. The council directed city staff to begin that process.
Some residents living near the site requested city officials consider traffic flow in and out of the proposed development and what impacts there could be at the intersection of Highway 71 and Dam Road as planning for the development continues.
