(Arnolds Park)– The Arnolds Park City Council Wednesday evening approved a maximum price amendment on the city complex construction project, increasing it to $11,622,000 from the original budget of $11,280,000. Seth Lukonen, a project manager with Hausman Construction, which is overseeing the project, says they’re still hoping actual bids will come within the original budgeted amount…
Lukonen says there’s no single factor that’s led to the increase…
The $11,622,000 includes demolition of the existing facility, construction of the new facility along with HVAC systems, electrical and plumbing. The cost of furnishings will be on top of that, with the total project cost not to exceed the $15 million in bonding that was approved for the financing. Lukonen says another round of bids will be received next week. Lukonen adds demolition of the current building will be getting underway very soon…
That time frame is dependent upon weather and other factors.
