Arnolds Park CEO: Just Completed Season May Be One For The Record Books

September 05, 2023 Steve Schwaller

(Arnolds Park)– The numbers are still somewhat preliminary but all indications are the just concluded season was one for the record books for the Arnolds Park Amusement Park. CEO Jon Pausley says they couldn’t be happier with how things went this season…

“The initial look looks like we might have had a record breaking season this year, so we’re pretty excited about that and pretty excited about all of the things that are happening down here at Arnolds Park the last few years with all of the improvements and adjustments that have been made with the refurbished rollercoaster this last year that many people to enjoy and ride, and so all things are looking really good.”

Pausley says they’re already making plans for next summer. He says those will include even more improvements that will be made during the off-season…

“Over this non-amusement park season year we’re going to have the tipsy house get some work done on it; The Queen is going to get a couple of new engines put in and that’s going to be great. We had a few days where The Queen was down this year and just needed some extra work. And we’re going to do a few projects to spruce up the park a little bit further. And so stay tuned. Just what those will be and how that will look. We’ve got some pretty exciting developments we’re working on. You know we’re just coming off a few years of seeing some major projects completed with the dormitory and the stage and the concession stand. Nothing quite as dramatic as the last few years but certainly an opportunity to spruce things up, change things around a little bit every year to keep it interesting and certainly make it the best we can be.”

And even though the amusement park itself is closed for the season, Pausley says there will still be a lot going on at Arnolds Park in the coming weeks…

“Yeah, throughout September we’ve still got Farmer’s Markets on Saturday mornings, the Queen’s shops will still be open; Boji Scare is going to be coming at the end of September and into October; we’re going to have the concert deck be open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays all through September and October and live music every Friday night from 5:00 to 7:00. And so some great opportunities still to come down. September and October are beautiful weather months and so we’re hoping to really extend that season out and have people, especially locals here, get the opportunity to come down and just enjoy everything that we still have to offer.”

Pausley thanks everyone who helped make this past season a very successful one for Arnolds Park.
