(Arnolds Park)-Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone will make an appearance at the Roof Garden Ballroom on Sunday. UOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
Arnolds Park Amusement Park will present Herman’s Hermits Starring Peter Noone at the Roof Garden Ballroom Sunday evening.
Noone was just 15 years old when he began as the Lead Vocalist with the classic group, and says he was heavily influenced by another British band. “In August 1963, I was a kid and I went to see The Beatles, they were playing in a field, and I looked at them and I thought, one day I’d like to be with a bunch of fellas on stage, having that much fun.”
He notes that each show is different, depending on the audience. “We try to stick to the 60s, you know, we’ve got about 300 songs that we can dip into, based on the audience. I’ve never played Arnolds Park, so I don’t know what the audience is going to be like, and when I see them then I’ll change the order of the songs to suit the audience. You know, some audiences like to sing along, and some audiences like to listen, and some audiences like to only hear songs that they’re familiar with and, I like to keep it all in that high energy quickly, not too much messing around.”
The concert will begin at 7:30 Sunday night at the Roof Garden.
