The Live at the Lake Concert Series has been announced. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
Arnolds Park Amusement Park has announced the Live at the Lake Concert Series which will kick off June 11 with Chase & Ovation, the Prince Tribute.
Marketing Director Paul Plumb says, much of the series will be performed on the new stage. “I think the biggest highlight is probably going to be that brand new stage that we’re having out there. Looking at having that sometime in July, having that open, and it’s just going to be a night and day change from what it was before. I think it’s not only going to be great for the bands, but great for the people at the concerts and the whole community to have a great place to people to come and enjoy and get together and enjoy live music.”
He notes that a temporary stage will be used for the early season shows. “We’re going to have a portable stage brought in for the first few shows while we’re finishing up the stage. It will be just a great set up there, too. People will be able to come then and see what the stage is going to look like when it’s all finished up.”
He adds that the Park plans to announce other acts in the near future. “What we released today was probably 90% of the concerts coming, and kind of waiting on a couple of national acts, too, that we’re going to add to that list that should really make it a fantastic season out there.”
