(Sibley)—It’s that time of year again when transient crews start showing up offering homeowners a variety of services such as various household repairs, driveway paving, roofing, painting and so on.
They say you need to be careful before hiring such crews, as they tend to be fly-by-the-night operations out to scam homeowners by performing shoddy work and using product that isn’t up to snuff.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office says it’s investigating a complaint it received Monday regarding substandard work by a painting crew from Augusta, South Carolina.
Authorities recommend hiring reputable local contractors.
