(Okoboji)—An April 25th show at the Pearson Lakes Art Center will feature two different styles of music. Two different groups will be on the stage that evening. Rachelle Fratzke of the PLAC says one of them, “The Roys”, is a bluegrass group…(click here for comment.) “They have won an inspirational country music award for the dual of the year in 2009 and 2010. They also have won the ICM’s bluegrass artist of the year in 2011. It’s a brother and sister. The sister who plays a great guitar has been also I think named vocalist of the year in some awards and her brother plays the mandolin and the bass and the drums and just a little of everything.”
The other, “Roscoe Bandanna”, is a country group…(click here for comment.) “They are just a group of friends that got together and enjoyed playing. They’re from the gulf part of Louisiana so their music is going to be a little southern. It’s going to be just a fun, fun night.”
Show time April 25th is 7:30 p.m.
Ticket information is available by contacting the box office at the Pearson Lakes Art Center or online at lakesart.org.
