(Okoboji)– Arnolds Park-Okoboji Fire/Rescue holds its 39th annual Labor Day Auction fundraiser this coming Monday, September 1st at 1:00 pm at the Barefoot Bar. Duane Zahradnik of APO Fire Rescue says all of the proceeds this year go toward a new lakes area fire boat…
“The current one is 21 years old. It’s time to replace it. So we’re going to have a big auction this year. We have lots of great items and encourage everyone to come down on Monday, September 1st, to the Barefoot Bar.”
A brand new A-T-V is among the items that will be on the auction block…
“It’s a four passenger, it’s heated inside and has a little trailer to pull behind it. This was donated to us and we’re going to auction it off to the highest bidder on Monday, September 1st, at the Barefoot Bar. This thing can go through the slough, through water, it’s a really neat piece of equipment.”
That’s in addition to a number of other items that will be for sale…
“We also have a Fire Ball slim refrigerator. It’s something new this year, I’ve never gotten one of these before. People are going to want this in their man cave. We have a fire pit, we have neon signs, we have a Fire Ball dispenser where you put the two bottles of Fire Ball in there, we have a blow-up paddle board, we have all kinds of golf packages, gift cards, clothing. We have something for everyone.”
