Another Reminder That Early/Absentee Voting Is Currently Underway For Nov. 4th City & School Elections

October 16, 2025

(Spirit Lake)– A reminder that early and absentee voting is now underway for the November 4th city and school elections throughout Iowa. Early voting started Wednesday and continues through November 3rd. The location to do that in Dickinson county is the Election Room adjacent to the Auditor’s Office at the courthouse in Spirit Lake. The hours are 8:00 am until 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. Jordan Moyer of the Dickinson County Auditor’s Office says the process is pretty simple…

“We ask that you bring your driver’s license and you’ll fill out your absentee request form and you’ll fill out all the highlighted portions. They just need to make sure that their address is correct on their driver’s license. If it is not, they’ll just need to bring a form of identification at their current address. They would need their driver’s license for their identity and a form of mail for their residency.”

Moyer adds time is quickly winding down for those wanting to vote by mail. She says this coming Monday, October 20th, is the last day they can mail out ballots.
