Another Reminder Of Importance Of Carbon Monoxide Detectors

February 21, 2024 Steve Schwaller

(Spencer)– An area Fire Chief says his department recently responded to an unusually high number of carbon monoxide alarms going off. Spencer Fire Chief Jesse Coulson says they had nine such calls during the month of January. He says most of those occurred during the extreme cold…

“You know it’s that time of the year. Things happen. Cold, things, vents, get clogged up, things malfunction, and that’s why we highly encourage everyone to have a CO detector on every level in their house, because it’s a silent killer that can happen at any time. Even when you do everything right, mistakes happen, right?”

Coulson also reminds everyone to check their vents to make sure they are working properly and aren’t clogged.
