(Estherville)– Road construction season is kicking into high gear in the region. The Iowa Department of Transportation announced today (Tues.) work on Iowa Highway 4 from Iowa Highway 9 through Estherville to the Minnesota stateline will begin Monday, April 10th and will continue through June.
The project will require lane closures on weekdays, beginning Monday, April 10th. Motorists will be assisted through the work zone with a pilot car.
The $2.7 million project includes milling, pavement patching, paving road shoulders and hot-mix asphalt resurfacing.
Heartland Asphalt of Mason City is the general contractor.
