(Spirit Lake)– An annual audit report for the fiscal year ended June 30th, 2022 shows the Spirit Lake Community School District posted revenues of a little more than $19.78 million dollars. The report says that’s a 9.7 percent increase over the prior year. The increased revenue was attributed mainly to an increase in state and federal revenues.
Expenses totaled a little more than $17 million…a 5.8 percent decrease from the prior year. Auditors say the decline in expenses is due largely to a decrease in net pension liability.
