(Spirit Lake)– The woman convicted in a Lake Park homicide case is scheduled to make another court appearance Wednesday (Oct. 26th). A judge in May found Allison Decker guilty of 1st degree murder in the death of Angel Bastman of Lake Park following a bench trial.
Decker’s attorney is seeking a new trial claiming evidence submitted by the state was insufficient. Prosecutors have opposed the request.
Justice Berntson, who was originally charged with 1st degree murder in the same case, pled guilty to lesser charges as part of a plea deal that involved him testifying against Decker.
Wednesday’s (Oct. 26th) hearing is set for 9:00 am at the Dickinson County Courthouse.
