(Undated)– Alliant Energy plans to add up to 1,000 megawatts of wind energy generation in Iowa. That’s according to a filing with the Iowa Utilities Commission. The company says the additional generation is needed to meet future demand. Alliant Energy will own and operate the wind generation projects once operational.
The company anticipates a decision from the IUC in the first quarter of 2026.
