(Madison, Wi.)– The Alliant Energy Foundation has awarded more than $980,000 in its third and last Community Grant cycle of the year.
Grants were awarded in a number of categories, including community safety and engagement, environmental stewardship, hunger and housing and workforce readiness.
Locally, the Milford Memorial Library is receiving $500 for its Children’s Summer Reading program; the Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce was awarded $1,500 for University of Okoboji Winter Games; the city of West Okoboji is receiving $500 for park improvements, and the Iowa Lakes Community College Foundation was awarded $2,000 for grants.
