Alliant Energy Customers Will Soon Be Paying More For Electricity

(Des Moines)– Alliant Energy customers are about to see their electric bills go up. The Iowa Utilities Commission approved the company’s request for increased rates and will require transparency from Alliant energy for future investments. Average monthly electric bills will rise from 13 to 15 dollars.

Alliant Energy customers will be notified of the bill changes within 30 days.

The new rates will take effect on October 1st.
