(Jackson, Mn.)– An all school reunion will be among the events with this year’s Jackson Days celebration that will be going on August 19th-23rd. Mark Titus of Jackson says they’re in the process now of organizing events for the reunion…
“There will certainly be some meals associated with this event and a relatively short program at the high school. Also looking at some school tours. We’ve got some fabulous school facilities that certainly many of our alums probably have not even seen, people that have moved away that haven’t been back and perhaps very likely have never been in those buildings even if they’ve seen them from the outside when they’ve come back. So we’ll have a number of activities around that. The key right now is just getting the word out and people to set the date and get the date on their calendar and understand when we’re going to do this.”
Titus says they’re also looking for individuals with contact information for the various classes from over the years at what was then Jackson and now Jackson County Central…
“It’s going to be really key to find the individual or individuals representing those classes that would have those class lists so we can get the word out. Of course using social media and using the radio station and all the ways we can to get the word out is going to be really important that this point.”
Titus encourages anyone with that information, or those willing to help organize the reunion, to contact him or Cory Christoffer at the Jackson Chamber of Commerce.
Titus says they attempted to have an all school reunion last year but the plans didn’t materialize.
