(Undated)– Air quality will again be an issue the next few days as smoke from ongoing wildfires in Canada makes its way back into the region. An air quality alert is in effect for southwest Minnesota and eastern Nebraska.
The National Weather Service says ground level smoke from wildfires in the Northwest Territories and northern Alberta is being brought into the region by northerly winds.
