(Jackson, Mn.)– It’s only been open since June, but already AGCO officials say the company’s new Intivity Center at its recently expanding Jackson, Mn. plant is a big hit with visitors. Since that time, company officials say more than 2,700 people have toured the 17,000 square foot visitor’s center. Many of those have been from other parts of the globe.
Challenger and Massey Ferguson tractors are now being built in a 75,000 square foot portion of AGCO’s manufacturing facility in Jackson, which is also open to tours. Visitors can watch the progress of individual tractors on overhead LCD monitors as they make their way down the manufacturing line. The screens tell what’s being built, the stage of production it’s in and even for whom the tractor is being built.
The Intivity Center is open weekdays between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Guided tours of the tractor manufacturing facility are available by appointment only on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and may be scheduled online at Jackson.AGCOcorp.com.
