(Spencer)– The Spencer Chamber of Commerce holds its 41st annual Ag Outlook Tuesday, February 17th from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm at the Clay County Regional Events Center in Spencer. Blake Goss, Events and Programs Director for the Spencer Chamber, says admission is free and that the event will be held in the same format as in previous years…
“One half of it is for vendor displays and the other half is for educational seminars. We have three of them throughout the day at 9:30, 12:30 and 2:30. The 9:30 speaker will be Matt Campbell from StoneX and he provides an annual grain market hot spot update. And then at 12:30 we’ll have a panel of local tax advisors to discuss the One Big Beautiful Bill and the tax aspect of that. And then we’ll wrap it up with Kelly Garrett from Extreme Ag who’s going to be speaking about agriculture and how livestock and row crops can be tied in together.”
Goss adds they’re looking to expand the variety of vendors at this year’s show…
“This year the committee’s task was to try to open it more to just ag industry, so we’ve been dividing and conquering and trying to get a few more variety of vendors that’s just not necessarily your standard ag-related ones, but plenty of ag ones still present. We’re sitting at today just over 80 vendors and we look to get closer to about 95 when it’s all said and done.”
A grand prize will be raffled off at the conclusion of the event with proceeds going to area FFA chapters.
