Additional NW Iowa Soldiers Return Home

(Sheldon)– Iowa is welcoming home more Iowa National Guard troops from Afghanistan.

A ceremony will be held Friday (7/29) in Sheldon for the 2168th Transportation Company. It will begin at 1:30 p.m. at Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon.

Nearly 3,000 Iowa soldiers were sent to Afghanistan last year in the largest single deployment of Iowa National Guard troops since World War II.
