(Spencer)– A Spencer man charged in late October with lascivious acts with minors could face additional charges.
According to court documents, prosecutors have asked to file three additional counts each of prostitution and dissemination or exhibition of obscene materials to minors against 71-year-old Donald Zieman. A hearing on the motion requesting the charges is scheduled for Monday (January 3rd).
At the time of his arrest, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office said between May and August of this year, several boys were hired as farm help by Zieman. The boys, all minors, were allegedly harrassed and solicited by Zieman and were allegedly offered cash for sexual favors and acts. They were also allegedly provided alcohol and cigarettes and were allegedly asked to view child pornography along with videos and materials downloaded off the internet.
Zieman was initially charged with lascivious acts with a child, a class “C” felony…and three counts of indecent contact with a child, an aggravated misdemeanor.
Zieman’s trial has been set for February 22nd.
