(Emmetsburg)—An Arizona man faces an additional charge in connection with an incident last month in which a pickup owned by the city of Emmetsburg was stolen and destroyed after it was set on fire. The same suspect also now faces charges in connection with a burglary at an Emmetsburg bar.
36-year-old Douglas Grissom now faces additional charges of burglary in the 3rd degree…a class “D” felony…in connection with a burglary November 18th of this year at the Bad Manners bar. Police say property valued at more than $1,300 was removed from the business and was taken to a private residence in Emmetsburg. Police have since recovered the stolen property.
Grissom has also now been charged with arson in the 1st degree in connection with the alleged incident on November 18th of this year involving the pickup.
That’s in addition to the initial charge of possession of stolen property on which Grissom was originally arrested on back on November 20th.
Grissom is being held in the Palo Alto county jail.
