(Spirit Lake)– One person was taken to the hospital following a crash today (Monday) in the parking lot at Jimmy Johns in Spirit Lake.
Police say 70-year-old Linda Harbst of Spirit Lake was driving a 2019 Chrysler Pacifica through the drive thru when the vehicle accelerated in reverse. It jumped a curb and hit a tree and made contact with a parked unattended vehicle before coming to rest in a snowbank.
Harbst was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare for treatment of possible injuries.
The vehicle she was driving was totaled; damage to the parked vehicle was estimated at $3,000.
The Spirit Lake Fire Department and Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office assisted on the scene.
The crash took place around 11:18 am.
