(Emmetsburg)– Authorities say a vehicle found Thursday in a ditch along a road near Five Island Lake northeast of Emmetsburg had been reported as stolen from vehicle. A suspect wanted in connection with the incident was found walking nearby.
18-year-old Keith Wolff of Spencer was arrested on charges of theft in the second degree and possession of stolen property…a class “D” felony.
Wolff was booked into the Palo Alto county jail pending an initial appearance before a magistrate.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office worked with Spencer police to return the vehicle to its rightful owner.
A news release didn’t say whether or not there was any damage to it.
