A-T-V Vs Pickup Crash Seriously Injures Man

November 22, 2014

(Sibley)– A Little Rock man was seriously injured Thursday when an all-terrain-vehicle he was driving collided with a pickup a few miles north of Sibley.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office says 24-year-old Anthony Nachtigal of Little Rock was driving the A-T-V. Deputies say Nachtigal was attempting to turn onto County Road L40 when he turned into the path of a southbound 2004 Chevrolet pickup driven by 62-year-old Robert Tiedeman of Sibley.

Nachtigal was thrown head first from the A-T-V and sustained major head injuries. He was taken by ambulance to the Osceola Community Hospital and was airlifted to Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. There was no immediate word on his condition.

The collision took place around 4:20 p.m.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Sibley Fire Department.
