(Des Moines)– A local state lawmaker has received some special recognition. Senator Dave Rowley of Spirit Lake is a 2026 recipient of the Herbert Hoover Uncommon Public Service Award.
The award is presented each year to one deserving member in each chamber of the Iowa Legislature. This year’s recipient in the House is State Representative Jennifer Konfrst.
The annual award was established by the Hoover Presidential Foundation to recognize lawmakers demonstrating uncommon service to the people of Iowa above and beyond their legislative duties.
