A Murder Mystery Takes The Stage This Week At O.S.T

July 16, 2024 Steve Schwaller

(Okoboji)– The Okoboij Summer Theatre will open its production of the Agatha Christie Classic The Mousetrap on Tuesday evening. Guest Director Courtney Crouse explains the famous plot…

“The Mousetrap is a classic British murder mystery who done it. If you’re someone like me who’s always on Amazon Prime searching for that next British murder-mystery show this is for you. You’ve seen probably Murder on The Orient Express and Death on The Nile on Prime, now you should come see The Mousetrap live. This show is about I think, eight people and they are snowed up in a country home outside London, about 30 miles outside of London, and there is a murderer afoot, he or she, someone in the home, and we’ve got to figure out who it is.”

Actor Rob Doyen says the play is the world’s longest running production…

“The Mousetrap. Such a story about it because it ran for 60, 65 years on the west end in a lot of different theatres, moved to different theatres. It came out in 1952 and I think it only closed because of the pandemic and now it’s back open again, but what a run.”

Curtain time is 8:00 this (Tuesday evening).  See details at okobojisummertheatre.org
