(Okoboji)– There has been yet another setback in plans to open Sherwood Forest Park. A ribbon cutting was originally scheduled for earlier this summer but wound up being postponed due to construction delays. It was then rescheduled for July 17th. Now, officials with the Dickinson County Conservation Board, which is overseeing the project at the former Inn Golf Course, say the July 17th opening date has been scrubbed due to “a design issue that the engineers are working on to resolve”.
A statement from the board says crews are working diligently to ensure a quality park with features that provide the best possible experience for all visitors.
A new potential opening date has not been announced.
