(Okoboji) This month you can take a trip across the world during Kenue Coffee Hour. Amy Heibult, Community Relations Coordinator for the Dickinson County Nature Center, talks about this month’s speaker…

“This months speaker is going to be Ashley Scheve. She’s the education coordinator out at the Lakeside Lab. prior to her time at Lakeside, she actually spent tie over in Paraguay and she served with the Peace Corps. So she’s going to be speaking about her experiences in the Paraguayan culture. She’s also going to be bringing some props for the audience to look at while she presents and kind of speaking about some of the native language that she learned in Guarani while over there.”

Heibult says this is a great opportunity to learn about a different viewpoint…

“Kind of nice to see things from outside of our region and get a different perspective of what conservation and education looks like.”

You do not have to register, just show up before 10:30 on November 6th at the Dickinson County Nature Center. Kenue Coffee hour is free and open to all adults and takes place the first Thursday of the month.
