(Spencer)– Four teens are in the running for this year’s Clay County Fair Queen competition.
Contestants include: Tori Rayner of Royal, 17-year-old daughter of David and Becky Rayner; Presley Herrig of Peterson, 18-year-old daughter of Todd and Tanya Herrig; Alecia Olson of Spencer, 16-year-old daughter of Mark and Brenda Olson; and Elizabeth Halverson of Spencer, 16-year-old daughter of Pegg and Jody Halverson.
This year’s contestants will participate in the local Feed Our Children program and assist in filling bags with food for local children in need.
Candidates will be judged on personality, attitude and awareness, leadership and citizenship, contribution to the community, overall appearance, charm, poise and self-expression.
The Clay County Fair Queen Contest will be held Sunday, April 15th at 6:30 p.m. at the Clay County Regional Events Center. The self-expression portion begins at 7:00 p.m. with crowning at 7:45 p.m. The event is open to the public.
