(Spencer)– The Spencer Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) announced Friday 38 Commercial Business Assistance Grants have been awarded to businesses in the city impacted by flooding last summer. The grants total $747,000 to reimburse businesses for equipment, furniture and inventory lost in the June, 2024 disaster.
SEDC officials say funds are still available with applications open until April 1st, or until the funds run out. Reimbursable expenditures must be incurred before June 6th, 2025.
The Commercial Business Assistance Grant program was made possible through a partnership with the city of Spencer and Spencer Municipal Utilities.
