(Des Moines)– Three northwest Iowans are among 30 residents from throughout the state appointed to the Judicial Nominating Commission by Governor Terry Branstad.
Appointments to the District 3A Judicial Nominating Commission include Janis Bowles of Spirit Lake, Dr. Cody Hoefert of Rock Rapids and Grace Ivey of Storm Lake. Bowles’ and Hoefert’s terms will run through January 31st, 2018; the term for Ivey, who was appointed to fill a vacancy, runs through January 31st, 2016.
The appointments, which are effective today (Wed.), are not subject to Senate confirmation.
