(Arnolds Park)– A contest to see which establishment in the Iowa Great Lakes serves up the best burger is winding down. Morgan Strauss of the Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce says Friday (Feb. 28th) is the final day for the “Boji Burger Battle” that’s been going on this past month. She says this is the second year for the event but it’s the first year the chamber has put it on…
“The Waterfront actually reached out to us and they asked us to take over the Boji Burger Battle for their second year, so we’re really excited and want to thank them for doing that. All of the feedback that we’ve gotten from people who are participating in restaurants has been awesome. Voting, I think we have about 500 votes between nine different restaurants so we’ll be announcing that I would assume March, maybe 1st, or for sure that following Monday. Watch our social media pages and be sure to see who the winner is of the second Boji Burger Battle.”
She says many of the participating restaurants came up with some very creative burgers…
“They actually did a burger that wasn’t on their normal menu so that’s something exciting. We hope to see if maybe they add that burger. And then we’ll be excited for the next year, too to see what they come up with. Make sure you get out there, support your local restaurants, as always, and get your burgers before it’s too late.”
Strauss says they’ll announce the winner either this weekend or on Monday.
