(Spencer)– This year’s Clay County Fair powered by SMU will feature 21 new foods. Five of those have been selected as finalists for the seventh edition of “The World’s Greatest County Fair Food” contest. They include oreo caramel krispies; a half pound tenderloin; pickle pizza; chicken flautas and deep fried strawberry shortcake on a stick. A celebrity panel of five judges will decide the winning vendor. The judging will be held on the opening day of the fair, Saturday, September 9th. It will be held at 2:30 that afternoon on the Central Park Stage.
