2022 Clay County Fair Powered By SMU Will Include 28 New Foods

(Spencer)– This year’s Clay County Fair powered by SMU will feature 28 new foods, including five that have been named as finalists for the sixth edition of the “World’s Greatest County Fair Food” Contest. They include roasted corn, a lasagna griller, berkshire bacon ball on a stick, deep fried deviled eggs and brisket nachos.

In addition to “The World’s Greatest Fair Food,” there will also be the “People’s Choice Award” again this year. Fairgoers can sample the five finalists and cast their vote at any of the Fair’s information booths Saturday, September 10^th through Wednesday, September 14. The winner will be announced September 15^th.

The “Fair Foodie Challenge” will also be returning. Pick up a foodie card at any information booth, sample the finalists and turn the card back in at an information booth and receive a special “Fair Foodie” button.

·        S’mores crumble waffle – Nordic Waffles

·        Roasted Corn in a Cup – Ormic Concessions

·        Horchata – Ormic Concessions

·        Chocolate Dipped Espresso Beans – Ground to Perfection

·        Handcrafted Gourmet Popsicles – Boji Blends

·        Bacon Pecan Pie – Side Door Concessions

·        Chicken bacon ranch ball – Side Door Concessions

·        Walt’s Lemonade Creamsicle – Side Door Concessions

·        Mini Donut Latte – Black Earth Java

·        Red Bull Spritzers – Black Earth Java
