(Milford)– The Okoboji Community School District remains on target to hire a new Superintendent before the Christmas break. The application deadline was November 30th.
Officials with Grundmeyer Leader Services were on hand at a special school board meeting Wednesday afternoon. They reported a total of 14 applications were received for the position, with five of those coming from outside the state. The board then went into a closed session to further review the applicants, their backgrounds, and qualifications, narrowing the list to six semi-finalists. They’ll be interviewed via Zoom next week, with the two or three finalists being interviewed in person December 16th. A contract offer could be presented to the top finalist at a board meeting that same day.
Current Superintendent Todd Abrahamson is retiring at the end of the school year.
