11th Annual Tiki Ride is this Saturday

July 29, 2025

(Spirit Lake) The 11th Annual Tiki ride, put on by Sportsmans in downtown Spirit Lake is this Saturday. Dave Tryon says it’s a great ride.

“Its basically the ride around the lakes area so you go down to Big Spirit and stop back at the Venue have a nice meal from the Burger company and then from then on we head around the west side of West Lake and then we have about 8 to 10 different stops. A lot of them have live entertainment along the way so it’s a lot of fun. It’s one of the rides you do that you actually get stuff back along the route.”

Tryon says it’s not a difficult ride.

“For those that don’t ride a lot, we have different legs of it so the first one you start of course is at 9 o’clock. We shut down the whole street. We go around Big Spirit first at 16 miles and then if you can opt out that the 2nd leg is where a lot of the fun stops are at too and that’s 23 miles, so you know you’re going 4 or 5 miles take a break then go another 4 or 5 miles. So, it’s for someone that just likes to get out and enjoy the outdoors, have some fun and see the Iowa Great Lakes, how great it is”

You can register this week and also the day of the event. All the proceeds from the Tiki Ride go to the Dickinson County Trails.  For more information you can go to the Sportsmans Facebook page or their website at sportsmans3d.com
